Foreign TV via Satellite

There are thousands of FREE TV & Radio channels available to the UK via satellite broadcasting from countries from all over Europe, the MIddle East & beyond ! You just need to know what satellite these channels are broadcast from and usually a simple Free to Air Satellite Receiver & suitable dish is all that is required to pick up the channels. Lots of sporting events can usually be found for free like boxing, football including Champions league, FA cup, International games and the odd Premiership game. (Premiership games are mostly still subscription based on foreign channels and a viewing card is still required)  We would reccomend that you have a motorised satellite dish if you are interested in picking up these various types of channels and feeds giving you access to as many of the main satelllites within our range. The below link to LJ's live on sat website shows you many sporting events & tuning information to pick up the channels.

Turksat 42° East
This is the main satellite for Turkish channels. Over 50 channels are available and most of them are free.

Hellas 39° East
A selection on Greek TV channels including Riksat & ERT World broadcasting Free to Air

Astra 28.2° East
This is the satellite which broadcasts Sky Digital & Freesat. You can receive a huge selection of some 300+ free channels including BBC1 & 2, ITV, News, Kids, Movies and more.  The channel lineup & picture quality are far more superior than the UK's Freeview which is only available via a TV Aerial. With a High Definition satellite receiver, you can pick up BBC HD & ITV HD all for FREE !

Badr4 26° East
Arabic television mostly free including the MBC Channels. Available with around a 1m Dish in the South of England

Astra 19.2° East

Hotbird 13°East
Another European satellite broadcasting over 1000 channels mainly from Europe but also from further afar. Italy is the main focus of this satellite and there are over 50 Italian channels available. Thor 0.8° West
Many channels from Canal Digital & Digi TV, mostly Romanian & Czech TV

Eutelsat 5  5° West
A small handful of channels mostly from France, there are approx half a dozen Free to Air French channels, France 2, 3, 5, M6 & also the BIS subscription package broadcasts from here.

Nilesat 7° West
Arabic TV from here and lots of it ! All the main Arabic channels from the Middle East are shown here including MBC channels and the subscription based Showtime package. A large dish of around 2m is required to get a good enough signal from this bird in the south of England. For customers who cannot have such a large dish, we would recommend BADR4 Satellite for a similar channel lineup at 26 Degs East.

Hispasat 30° West
Spanish and Portuguese channels, similar lineup to Astra 19° East

We also sell some Pre Tuned Satellite Receivers for many countries, please see here for more info or if there are channels from a country not mentioned please email us for details. http://www.cdtronix.com/foreign-systems/cat_214.html

Screen shots below of recent boxing event featuring David Haye which was broadcast Live from Germany

This fight was Pay Per View in the UK by our main "Cash Hungry provider" BUT was also shown Free to Air by many European TV providers. Aljazeera Sports 1 had the fight live with English commentary on BADR4 at 26 Degs East which can be picked up easily with our New Horizons 1.2m high gain dish & LNB.  RTL Germany also broadcast the fight live and is easily picked up with our New Horizons 80cm dish for most of the UK. We would recommend our New Horizons NH-210 DiSEqC motor giving you the option of many satellites from the one dish.
